Sean Emery, a columnist for the Orange County Register, writes that for the first time a non-white has been elected as Mayor for the city of Irvine.
I do not get it. Why in this day and age should anybody be a 'non' anything! This could only have been written by an unfortunate individual with a strong atavistic colonial gene.
Guess what? We have just elected a non-white president, wait, maybe that should read non-black, my mind is spinning and my brain is about to explode! Or perhaps our President elect just happens to be an extremely smart human.
When will these morons realize that skin color DOES NOT MATTER.
Tip of the month:
When completing any forms or questionnaires, official or not. To the question. Race? Write human.
To the question. Ethnic origin? Answer Homo Sapien.
Hopefully one day the Sean Emerys of this world will cease to classify people by race, color or even worse, 'non' something or other.
Perhaps this makes you think a little bit.
